Role and Mission

MISSION

The mission of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan is to develop, promote and protect the Olympic Movement within Tajikistan territory, in accordance with the constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Olympic Charter and the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan on Physical Education and Sports. 

To ensure its mission, the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan benefits from the assistance of the government and the local authorities through conventional agreements of partnerships. The NOC of Tajikistan can also establish cooperative relations with any other continental or international sports institutions following the acting legal regulations.

ROLES OF THE NATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE

The main objectives of the Committee are:- promoting, advocating and protecting the Olympic movement within territory of the Republic of Tajikistan, implementing basic principles and values of the Olympic in particular in sports and education;

- Promote the Olympic education, physical and сultural education of citizens by participating in the implementation of Olympic education programs in educational institutions;

- ensure compliance of the Global Olimpic Charter in the Republic of Tajikistan;

- Promotion and developement of physical education for getting a higher achievement;

- Promote and providing development of physical and sports education, including public sports;

- facilitate the provision of clean sports, including through the adoption and implementation of the requirements of the International Anti- Stimulant Code;

- Promote prevention and elimination of various forms of discrimination and violence in sport;

- Support measures for health care and health protection of athletes;

- to conduct the international activities and representations of the Republic of Tajikistan in international organizations with a view to strengthening the status and promotion of Tajik sports in the international arena.

To achieve the goals of this charter, the Committee shall pursue the legislative provisions and take into consideration the requirements set forth in the Global Olimpic Charter, carry out the following activities, which are the subject of the activities of the Committee:

- Promote the Olympic movement principles in the Republic of Tajikistan, disseminate and enhance knowledge on Olympic, Olympic movement and Olympic Games in educational institutions and sports training institutions, to facilitate the establishment of organizations whose activities are aimed at the development of Olympic disciplines;

- recognizing and implementing the Global Anti- Stimulant Code, ensuring the harmonization of the policies and the rules of anti-stimulant with the International anti-stimulant Code;

- introduce the Republic of Tajikistan in the Olympic Games, Asian Games and regional, global and global sports events, organized by the International Olympic Committee, the National Olympic Association or the Olympic Games of Asia;

- Participate in preparation, development and provision of the national teams of the Republic of Tajikistan for all types of sports in their participation in the Olympic Games, Asian Games and other international sporting events in co-operation with the authorized state bodies in the field of physical education and sports, national sport federations, federations sports on the type of sports and other organisation related to physical training activities that involved in development, promotion and mass mobilization of the Olympic movement;

- Develop and implement programs for preparation of Tajik sportsmen and participation of Olympic athletes in the Olympic Games, Asian Games and other sporting events in co-operation with the authorized government body in the field of physical education and sports, republican sports federations, sport federations of the type Olympic Games and other Physical-Physical Education Organizations established for the development, promotion and mass mobilization of the Olympic movement;

- Participate in preparation and reorganization of managers and other specialists in the field of sports, organization of scientific-practical conferences, courses and seminars;

- Providing sports clothing, travel, living and insurance of members of the Olympic Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Olympic Games, Asian Games and other international sports events organized by the International Olympic Committee, the National Olympic Committees or the Olympic Games of Asia;

- Determine the Olympic Games of the Republic of Tajikistan and mobilize it to participate in the Olympic Games, Asian Games and other international sports events organized by the International Olympic Committee, the National Olympic Committees or the Olympic Games of Asia;

- to represent and protect the interests of the Tajik Olympic team and their members during the preparation and participation of the Olympic Games, Asian Games and other international events carried out by the International Olympic Committee, the National Olympic Committees or the Olympic Games of Asia;

- in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan in accordance with the Charter the measures to protect the rights of using the symbols of the Olympic, poems, flags and songs, the names of the Olympic, Olympic Games, Olympiad and the words made by them to the International Olympic Committee have. The Committee is entitled to the exclusive right to use the flag and the flag of the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan, the private name and the official name of the "Olympic team of Tajikistan";

- participate in the International Olympic Committee, the National Olympic Committees and the Asian Olympic Council, including the Olympic Games, organize and conduct activities in the framework of these programs;- Establishing the Organizing Committee of the Games (hereinafter the Organizing Committee) and together with the Organizing Committee strictly fulfilling the requirements of the Global Olimpic Charter established by the Olympic Games or Games of Asia, in connection with organizing and conducting these games;

- the sign, flag, song and song the words "Olimpic", "olimpiad" shall be used in according to the procedure established by the International Olympic Committee;

- the sign and other atributes of Committtee shal be used following the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Global Olimpic Charter;

- Establish and support the Olympic academies, Olympic museums, and cultural events on the Olympic movement;

- submit to the International Olympic Committee amendments to the Global Olimpic Charter and the Olympic movement, including the establishment and holding of Olympic Games;

- Implement international activity, introduce the Republic of Tajikistan in international organizations and participate in the activities they hold;

- all support and promotion of participation of women and adolescents and youth in the development of Olympic movement in the Republic of Tajikistan;

- Promote the development and development of culture and art in the field of sport and Olympics, including cultural and sporting events and physical and sports education;

- introduce the Olympic movement of Tajikistan, stakeholders and participants of the Olympic movement of Tajikistan in government bodies, other organizations irrespective of organizational and legal forms, including international sports associations;

- development of public sports, higher achieving sport and preparation of sports reserves;

- coordination of activities of the members of the Committee - sports federations in the field of Olympic movement, higher achieving sports, public sports;

- Participate in the creation and support of funds and charitable organizations with a view to promoting the development of the national sport and higher achievements in the Republic of Tajikistan;

- to carry out business activity or other activity which brings income, including t production of goods and services, lottery, acquisition and realization of the property, property rights and non-financial assets, securities, participatio in economic activities, gaining income in cash or in the natural form from advertising services, sponsorship advertisements, income from the use of intellectual property or personalization in form of property( including money);

- Promote the development and introduction of advanced and contemporary directions of research, experiments, inventions, effective models and technology in the sport;

- Take the necessary measures to ensure the health and well-being of athletes;

- Protect the interests of athletes, coaches, judges and other specialists, as well as sportsmen;

- establishment of commercial organizations, whose profit is directed to achieving the statutory goals of the Committee;

- gaining of charitable funds, donations, assistance to individuals and legal entities, and other non-legislative acts, as well as the implementation of charitable activities;

- maintenace of promotion, development and introduction of advanced research areas in the field of physical education and sports;

- Implementation of other types of activities in accordance with this charter and current legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan.
