Tajikistan to hold Sports Games to mark 30th independence anniversary

The Sports Games of Tajikistan to mark the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the state of Tajikistan will commence next week in the capital Dushanbe.

The Games, which will also promote a healthy lifestyle, will be held from May 21 to June 30.

The programme of sports will include athletics, archery, basketball, boxing, handball, karate, rowing, sambo, swimming, taekwondo, volleyball, weightlifting and wrestling.

All competitions, except for archery, women’s volleyball and weightlifting, will be held in the capital Dushanbe. Archery will be held in Khujand, volleyball in Khorog and weightlifting in Kulob.

The previous edition of these Games was held in 2018.
