Tajikistan NOC President opens new sports ground for basketball and football

The President of the Tajikistan National Olympic Committee, Emomali Rahmon, inaugurated a new sports ground in Khurramzamin in the Danghara District last month.

The sports ground with an area of 800 square metres is designed for mini-football and basketball and is floodlit so that the public can use it at night, too.

The modern sports facility is the first of its kind in the Khurramzamin village of Ismat Sharif Jamot in the Danghara District and will give young people and residents the opportunity to take up sports.

Rahmon, who is also the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, has instructed officials to provide more such facilities in the future for the betterment of sports development among the youth of the country.
