Tajikistan NOC runs seminar for local sports administrators

The National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan conducted a three-day sports seminar focusing on the Olympic Movement for officials in the Khatlon region.

More than 30 sports administrators from Khatlon took part in the March 12-14 seminar organised by the Tajikistan NOC in cooperation with the Committee for Youth and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

NOC officials made presentations on a variety of topics, including the organisation of competitions, explained the function and structure of the International Olympic Committee, Olympic sports, doping issues and the Olympic Movement.

One of the main purposes of the seminar was to raise awareness among sports administrators in Khatlon region - one of the four provinces of Tajikistan – on the Olympic Movement as well as to educate them on the management of sports organisations.
