Tajikistan’s boxer – Bahodur Usmonov won the Boxing Title of Asia (64 kg) in the final at the ASBC Asian Boxing Championships, Huamark Indoor Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Bahodur prevailed against Obada Al-Kasbe of Jordan at the end of the Asian Boxing Championship on April 26, 2019. This is the first gold medal of Bahodur who got it after 8 years hard works.
It should be noted that Bahodur Usmonov was free in the first round, where he defeated his opponent from Japan in the second round. In the quarterfinal, he has beaten Tugrulbek Pazziyev of Turkmenistan and in the semifinal Kazakhstan’s boxer- Samatali Toltaeyev.
He is training under the mastership of a popular coach – Mirzo Shamsiyev over the last few years.
Please, noted that Bahodur won gold medal of the international boxing tournament this year in February in Kyrgyzstan.
It should be noted that title-known Tajikistan’s boxers – Anvar Yunusov (56 kg) snatched the gold medal of Asia in the Asian Boxing Championship in Incheon, South Korea, Jahon Qurbonov in 2008, and Mavzuna Chorieva in 2010.
