Tajikistan’s title-known judokas – Komronshoh Ustopiriyon (-100 kg) and Temur Rahimov (+100 kg) won the silver medals in the third round of Asian Pacific Judo Championships -2019, which held from 19th to 22nd April 2019, at Sheikh Zayed Sports Complex Fujairah City, UAE.
Temur Rahimov was free in the first round but swept victory over judoka from Saudi Arabia in the second round, where he beat the judoka from Magnolia in the quarterfinal, and fell into the semifinal of the championships. In the semifinal he defeated Lurie Krakovetskiy from Kyrgyzstan, but lost by the judoka of South Korea in the final.
Komronshoh Ustopiriyon (-90 kg) who was the champion of Asian Judo Championships over the last 2 years, but this time got a silver medal of the championship. After the swept victory over the judokas from Uzbekistan, China, Kazakhstan fell into final, but lost by Japanese judoka, and snatched the second place of Asian Pacific Judo Championships -2019.
Other three Tajikistan’s judokas – Khayomiddin Jabborov (-66 kg), Somon Mahmadbekov (-73 kg), and Shakarmamad Mirmamad (+100 kg) took fifth place in the Asian Pacific Judo Championships -2019 which caused changes in the world ranking table.
