Preparations for Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo-2020

Dushanbe, 30 January 2019 – In the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan, with
the purpose to carry out the public policy effectively on the physical education and sport,
coordination and considering significant issues related to sport, results of executive orders and
instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, President of the NOC H.E. Mr. Emomali
Rahmon, execution of the resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan since 12
February 2016, No.68 “On additions and changes with the resolutions of the Government of the
Republic of Tajikistan since 3 March 2011, No.123” under the Chairmanship Deputy Prime Minister,
Chairman Board for development sport and physical education under the Government of the
Republic of Tajikistan – Azim Ibrahim has been held Board Meeting.
As per agenda, participants have listened the reports of the Deputy Premier, Board Chairman, and
Minister of the Committee for Youth Affairs and Sports under the Government of the Republic of
Tajikistan, Vice President of NOC of Tajikistan – Mr. Abdullozoda Ahtam Rustam in terms of the
public policy on physical education and sport in the Republic of Tajikistan, challenges and
development prospect, realization provisions of Protocol of the last Board Meeting under the
Government of the Republic of Tajikistan for “Development of sport and physical education” on
October 13, 2017, No.26/6-198 and its action plan in relation with the execution of the executive
orders and decrees of President of the Republic of Tajikistan, NOC President H.E. Mr. Emomali
Rahmon who gave to the concerned personnel during NOC XVII General Assembly on 14 February
2018.
During the meeting the Board members touched upon the vital issues related to preparations
for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, 2022 Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Winter
Games, and involving sponsors to the new established fund of the National Olympic Committee of
Tajikistan.
