Tajikistan ranked sixth in u-17 Football Development Cup

Dushanbe, 28 January 2019 – Tajikistan Football Team U-17 under the leadership head coach – Zayniddin Rahimov, ranked 6th in U-17 Football Development Cup in Minsk, the capital city of Belorussia. In the final round of the preliminary stage in Group A Tajikistan lost to Finland 1:2. One goal to the gate of Finland had been bitten by Rustam Soirov. Totally, Tajikistan Football Team played 5 matches in U-17 Football Development Cup. In another match of the third round Tajikistan prevailed over Finland 2:0, draw with Belgium 1:1, and defeated by the team of host country Belarus 0:5. At play-off Tajikistan football players defeated their peers from Bulgaria 4:3. It should be noted that U-17 Football Development Cup is considered a training period for Tajikistan Football Team U-17 to the World Football Championship-2019 which will be held from 5-27 October in Peru.

The U-17 Football Tournament in the Belarusian capital is organized by the Football Federation of Belarus with the support of the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus and the Minsk City Hall.
