17th General Assembly with the participation President of the National Olympic Committee H.E. Emomali Rahmon

On February 14, 2018 in the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan was held 17th Assembly General under the leadership of the Founder of peace and national unity, the Leader of the nation, President of the country, President of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Emomali Rahmon.

Emomali Rahmon delivered speech before the members of Assembly General there. In his speech, Emomali Rahmon talked about historical role of the independence and national unity in strengthening peace, stability, and tranquility, also prosperity of the priority fields such as, social policy, popularization of the sport, formation of a healthy lifestyle and the training of the elite athletes in the country.
Based on agenda, assembly members have discussed the activities of the national sports federations to prepare a sports reserve, the marketing strategy of the National Olympic Committee for attracting sponsors, the issues of training and retraining of coaches, the problems of fighting against doping in sport, sport betting, the conflict in the sports training system and ensuring its effectiveness.
Also, the President noted that, “We must pay special attention to importance of the sports, formation of the healthy lifestyle and its popularization across the country, because the sport is considered the messenger of peace, friendship and humankind unity. Also, it is the best way to represent the nation and the country”.

During the visit, the President of the country H.E. Emomali Rahmon unveiled the curtain from the signboard of museum “Olympic Glory” and officially commissioned it. He got acquainted with the medals and awards of Tajikistan’s athletes and Olympians who they gained them from different Olympic Games, World Championships, Asian Games and regional tournaments. The expositions were made from glass with the usage of the modern technologies in two languages- English and Tajik.

Also, President of country H.E. Emomali Rahmon visited National Federations Center which had been built on the ground floor of the National Olympic Committee. The center equipped with whole necessary equipment and upgraded technologies which employees enjoy from the comforts. It should be noted that, 13 sports federations including archery, volleyball, canoeing, chess, weightlifting, karate-do, swimming, judo, mixed martial arts, fencing, national winter games association and boxing were unified in the center.
The purpose of combining a few national federations in the same place and under the same roof is to strengthen beneficial cooperation between National Olympic of Tajikistan and national federations.
Please, kindly note that, during 26 years of independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, physical training and sport sector are in the center of the social policy of the Government. After creating legal and infrastructure background this system makes progress steadily.
Ensuring necessary conveniences for training, popularization of sport and healthy lifestyle is a part of the permanent supports of the Leader of the Nation, H.E. Emomali Rahmon which actively participation of athletes in the Olympic Games and world championships give evidence from above-mentioned statement.
