Olympic Day in Tajikistan

June 23 2017, Dushanbe, Tajikistan: National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan is excited to inform that Olympic Day has been celebrated throughout Tajikistan with a special grandeur and pomposity.
Dedicated to this event on May 20 2017 for the first time in Dushanbe had been conducted bicycle marathon which more than 1143 fans of cycling participated.
Traditionally, on May 21st 2017 was organized Massive National Road Running in which this marathon involved about 50 thousand people from around the country.
Also, in accordance to action plan on June 23 2017 had been held a range of sports competitions. Early morning residents of Dushanbe started their tournaments from doing morning exercise then proceed one's in sports stadiums, halls and playgrounds.
As alluded, devoted to this day had been organized different kinds of sports competitions in Central Sports Stadium of Dushanbe and Physical Culture Institute, such as field and track, mini football, freestyle wrestling, Greco-Roman wrestling, Judo, basketball, sailing, field hockey, national wrestling, archery, artistic gymnastics, taekwondo and so forth.
It should be noted that, during the marking Olympic Day more than 11266 athletes from different parts of country took an active part in various kinds of sports competitions who 1211 of them were women. Over the last a few years, National Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan pays a special attention at women empowering matter, because healthy woman is a healthy family.
You cannot find any tournaments here without girls or women. Women always involved in different sports disciples.
Generally, during this historic day about 439340 participants attended competitions all over the country.
At the end, whole participants were rewarded with "Olympic Day" certificates by representatives of National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan in Dushanbe.
Also, National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan is an important part of the Olympic movement and always makes efforts to contribute greatly to the development of sports and Olympians in the world of sports competitions.
